Summary:


In Knights’ article, he says that we should change something about the environment in the cities. In the cities, people are using unrecyclable things, and it causes the environment of the city becomes bad. But now, people know that waste is bad, so they want to use the renewable energy and help all the urban have a good living environment. This is a cornerstone of helping the climate to be well, and McRae, the person in the article, says they will not be sustainable if not many people so this. At the end of the article, the author shows that is very good for get the environment of earth if the dwellers in the cities can use renewable things everyday, because the number of the dwells in cities are very huge.


Reaction:


The author initiates that using renewable things in our life, so he use the Vancouver to be an example to prove his idea. I read about some articles that Canada doesn’t use sunlight for energy, but it is popular in China. I think we can use sunlight to remove the electric energy in some places. It is also can be a kind of renewable energy, and the sunlight just a kind of the boundless energy in the world, so that we can find many ways to protect our earth. I also agree with author that he said the cities are the important places where need to be more clean and nature. Today, many people living in nature country or the suburbs near the cities, because they want to have a nice environment. And I believe it is useful to be health when I read a search in a book. In that book, it says that there are more old people living in the southern of the U.S more than the people who living in the northern of America. This is because of the industrial distribution of the U.S, the north near the five big lakes are many industrial companies, and the cities like Chicago are developed of it in the past few years, but this spend the environment and the cost of non-renewable energy. The different thing is that the cities in the southern of U.S are developed with tourism, and I can understand why Americans have that choose. However, the environment is important about our health, if we don’t care about it, we will lost all the places where we living now.
